Besoian 'Single Vineyard' Carmenere Cachapoal Valley Chile 2021
This Chilean red comes from Las Pataguas vineyard in Cachapoal Valley, Chile—rooted in volcanic-alluvial soils with generous clay content near the Tinguiririca River. With a cool Mediterranean-influenced climate and significant diurnal temperature swings, the vineyard conditions help preserve freshness and depth.
The wine is crafted from 93% Carménère, hand-harvested and fermented in stainless-steel before undergoing malolactic conversion in French barrels. It then ages for 12 months in second-use French barrels to keep the fruit vivid and lively.
In the glass, you’ll find aromas of blackberry, cassis, and wood spice. On the palate, it delivers concentrated fruit, deep freshness, and flavors of vanilla, mocha, and strawberries—juicy, smooth, and built for the table.
Serve with grilled lamb, duck magret, or hearty dishes like pasta with ragout.
