Chacra 'Barda' Pinot Noir Rio Negro Patagonia 2024

$36.00

This Barda is Patagonia’s gift to Pinot lovers—elegant, expressive, and effortlessly cool. As Chacra’s “village-level” Pinot, it’s sourced from the estate’s youngest vines planted in the 1990s, ungrafted and selected from massale cuttings. These vines thrive in sandy, calcareous soils and embody the pure, mineral-driven profile that defines this remote region.

Winemaking is all about gentle precision: fermentation with indigenous yeasts, followed by 11 months of élevage split evenly between concrete tanks and French oak barrels (15% new). The wine is unfined, unfiltered, and uses minimal sulfur—keeping every sip honest.

In the glass, Barda is perfumed and vividly alive—think cherry, cranberry, strawberry, and a hint of peach and rose petals, all wrapped in a mineral-laced, energetic frame. It’s medium-bodied, crunchy, and laser-focused, with a brightness that’s instantly charming.

Enjoy with grilled fish, roast chicken, or herbed pork—or enjoy it chilled on its own.
