I Clivi 'A Tessa' Ribolla Gialla Venezia Giulia IGT Friuli 2023

$32.00

This north-eastern Italian white is like sunshine in a glass—bright, fresh, and pure. It’s made from 100% Ribolla Gialla, grown organically on 10-year-old vines in the Gramogliano hills of Corno di Rosazzo, Friuli—right up against the Slovenian border. The vineyards sit around 200 m altitude on south-facing marl and sandstone flysch soils dating back to the Eocene era.

Harvested by hand in early October, the winemaking is all about restraint. Whole clusters are gently pressed (max pressure 1.2 bar) to extract only the purest must, which is then fermented via native yeasts in stainless steel. After fermentation, the wine matures for 6 months on its fine lees, suspended in tank to preserve freshness and avoid reduction, then lightly filtered before bottling.

In the glass, this wine dazzles with delicate citrus—picture lemon zest and subtle floral notes. On the palate, it’s all about crisp, refreshing acidity paired with a salty, very dry mineral finish—pure, clean, and mouthwatering wine.

It’s lightweight yet expressive and exceptionally food-friendly. Pair it with seafood, fresh salads, mild cheeses, or enjoy it simply as a zippy aperitif.
