Padelletti Rosso di Montalcino 2021
This bright and gracious red is crafted from 100% Sangiovese vines planted in 2005, rising about 430 meters in Tuscany. Rooted in clay, sandstone, and limestone soils, it's grown organically and hand-harvested between late September and early October.
The juice undergoes a 16-day maceration and ferments in cement at cool temperatures with native yeasts. After a year resting in large oak barrels (and just two months in bottle), it arrives fresh and ready to go—paper-filtered (10-micron), no fining or cold tricks—offering about 5,700 bottles of pure, honest wine each vintage.
Expect bright red fruit—sour cherry, red plum—and a palate that's juicy, elegant, and downright mouthwatering. This is an easy-drinking wine with real lift, but it can and will age beautifully—though honestly, pop it open with that rib-eye tonight!
